Love, alcohol & misunderstandings: The Lady Peasant (Барышня-крестьянка) is a bilingual play based on Aleksandr Pushkin’s Russian-language parody of Shakespeare’s romantic themes. It is presented by the Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies Program at the University of Oregon, in collaboration with University of Oregon Libraries, Department of Theatre Arts, UO School of Music and Dance, Global Scholars Hall, and University Housing.
